Little Animals Pale Ale

Our Beer of the Month for August is #157 Little Animals Pale Ale. Its been on our Top 10 Best Sellers list for years. Little Creatures, the original has become an Aussie Icon. Its on every beer drinkers bucket list to visit the brewery in Geelong or WA.

So give the Goanna version a go……Because everyone goes a  ‘Little Animal’ sometimes.

Non-alcoholic ginger beer

Non-alcoholic alcoholic ginger beer, just like Grandma used to make. We use fresh ginger in every batch of our ginger beer.

The alcoholic version of our ginger beer tastes just like the non-alcoholic brew, only with a kick just for the adults.

1.25 litre bottles of the Non-alcoholic ginger beer are available at Goanna Brewing. Grab a bottle for the kids ( and grandma) when you drop in next. Also available from The Freckle Farm Butcher Shop on Nebo Road.

Gather @ The Family Table (perviously The Garden Tea House)  in Bucasia,  stock Goanna Ginger beer too. Enjoy a glass with morning tea or lunch in their beautiful surrounds.

 

Summer Goanna

Summers the time for a cold brew on a hot day so we developed SUMMER GOANNA…. a light tasting beer that’s easy to drink. Inspired by the solo man slamming down his can after a long hot day we think this could be our BEER OF THE YEAR.

Those that tested it gave it a thumbs up and said they’d definitely grab a carton. We’ve even converted a couple of die hard Mackay Lager drinkers.

We think Easter is perfect time to release our new brew so here it is. SUMMER GOANNA

Single Hop Goanna Brews: #210 Goanna Pacific Ale

 

Feature hop: Galaxy Hops

History: Australian Hop released in 2009.

Aussie Brews: Galaxy is the basis of Stone & Wood and  Wild Yak’s Pacific Ale.

Aroma: Passionfruity

Hops are the flowers of the hop plant. Hops play a key role in the brewing of a beer; Hops provide aroma, flavour and bitterness. Usually a range of different hops are blended to provide the hop profile of a brew.  Some hops provide better aroma qualities than they do flavour, while others contribute great flavours but do little to the aroma .

In Single Hop Beers, instead of using a range of different hops, one single hop is used throughout the  stages of the brewing process, providing the aroma, flavour and bitterness to the beer. Single hop beers are great because they  allow a brewer to showcase the hop being profiled, while also educating the drinker on the hops’ various characteristics, and how it impacts the flavour and aromatic qualities of the beer.
